The plant - an observation

It must have been 27 June 2004. It was on the road from the water tower to the prison of Scheveningen.



Everywhere along the road you could see normal torches, one single straight-up stalk with normal leaves and normal flowers. At the other side of the path you can see them quite well. Between them stood this single plant, clearly the same species but of a very different shape.



It must have been a mutation. This plant has a lot more volume than the wispy torches you can see on the previous photograph.



Amidst the large leave you see sprouting small half leaves, straigt-up raising out of the mother-leave. I am very sorry I only made 4 photographs.
